IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
It is required for students who want to study in an English-speaking country. Over three million people take this test every year. IELTS is accepted by more than 11,000 employers, universities, schools and immigration bodies around the world.
The listening task lasts approximately 30 minutes and consists of four conversations recorded by native speakers.
The IELTS Reading Test requires you to answer 40 questions. Its main purpose is to assess your reading. You will be asked to demonstrate your ability to understand the main ideas and details.
The IELTS speaking test consists of three parts - an introductory conversation, a formal interview and a short free conversation.
The two parts of the IELTS Writing test require you to complete an essay and some short answers.Each section focuses on a different topic and is based on the module you are taking.
